Description
These French Dip Sliders are a quick, easy, and delicious weeknight dinner that combines tender roast beef, melted provolone, and garlic butter on sweet slider buns, served with a savory au jus for dipping.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 package (12-count) Hawaiian sweet rolls or dinner rolls
- 1 to 1.5 pounds deli-sliced roast beef
- 12 slices provolone cheese
- 1 cup low-sodium beef broth
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
- Few dashes Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13 inch baking dish with aluminum foil.
- Place slider buns in the baking dish, cut-side up, keeping them connected as a single slab.
- Drape sliced roast beef over each bun, aiming for 3-4 slices per slider to create volume.
- Place a slice of provolone cheese over the beef on each bun.
- In a small saucepan or microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter and whisk in garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, and Worcestershire sauce.
- Generously brush the tops and sides of the buns with the garlic butter mixture.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until the cheese is melted and the bun tops are golden brown.
- While baking, heat the beef broth in a small saucepan over medium heat to serve as au jus.
- Remove sliders from the oven and let rest for 2 minutes before serving with the hot au jus on the side.
Notes
For extra crispiness, broil for the last 1-2 minutes. Use low-sodium broth and deli meat to control salt levels. Let deli meat sit out for 10 minutes before assembling to help cheese melt better. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheated in the oven at 350°F.
